hey cool1g, its not a sporting event, but is it illegal to sell tickets to people at vanguard? ferry would be a 100% profit right now, and im sure the price will continue to increase...it almost makes sense for some lata's to buy a dozen tickets and then make mad profit. |
the presales started at $25 but are at $40 last I heard so there isn't much profit in that right now.
the rule on scalping is you cannot sell tix above face value on the property where the event is held. that's why you always see the scalpers at Staples across the street from the venue. i don't think it matters if its a NBA game or a club nite...
i would suspect that Vanguard security would not look well upon someone trying to scalp tickets on their property lol...but i have seen sold out shows like Tiesto and others have presale tix being scalped on craigslist and ebay ....
in this instance, the question that i can't answer is, if you are selling a $25 presale for $50....if they are sold for $50 at the door, is that really considered scalping as you are not selling it for more than the current walkup price...but then again the face value on the ticket is only $25 so try and make that arguement to a cop!
i think if you have a couple of extra tickets you could sell them out front quickly and easily.... i did that at the WMC for an extra ticket or two i had...
