Andrew has really been delivering when I've had a taste for the funkier side. This Nu-disco craze he's been on since the start of the year has opened my ears to some really wonderful sounds that I would've otherwise passed up.
Good for him, I'm glad he's made it a priority to stray away from the predictable prog-house sound from last year (Which was a sound of his in the latter part of last year that had me a little turned off from him) and dig a little deeper to find some gems for our enjoyment.
I'm noticing a lot of our other favorites are making this same move (Desyn, Luke, Tom, Dana, Erik, Rowan) but all are going a little bit separate directions and all are delivering something unique that make each and every one of their sets/mixes enjoyable as hell.
After (what I would call a semi-lack-luster) year 2008, we've gotten our answer with a very enthusiastic 2009!
I've had doubts, but all of those have been washed away with a stellar first half of 2009.
I haven't been this excited about this niche since early-mid-2007, and that's when I had just hopped off the epic-trance bandwagon .
I know you guys are feeling the same way too, so let's let Tom and Erik know that we're liking what we're hearing!
The same people time and time again post in these tracklist threads, (you know who you are), and all of us work our asses off to be the BEST on the web with these. We're a mini-community within a community to show our devotion to a similar sound and respect to the artist's that deliver most to us.
Thank you, guys.
Cheers!
