Also noticed you used Airplay as your third track - funny coincidence since it was the third track on the April mix I recently did. I guess we would
both agree on where that one would fit into a set. As for the rest of the mix, it was good. I don't think the Paulo Olarte track really fit in at that
stage in the mix. It is also a track I used before and I had used it towards the very end. Maybe it's because of that but I feel like it's a winding-down
track more than a warming-up track. Anyway, the rest was pretty sweet. Was definitly feeling the last 30 minutes or so, some nice tripped-out
tech vibes there. Overall good stuff. I guess I should mention that (and this actually goes for 12 Inchaes of Pleasure as well) some of the transitions
felt slightly forced. In that sense, the two tracks didn't necessarily fit harmonically yet you mixed them anyway. I can point you to the specific instances if
you would like. Otherwise though I definitly dig your sets. |
I hear ya dude, to be perfectly honest I'm rather bored with techno too, this is sort of my "kiss goodbye" to it for awhile as I've been really into the funkier shit lately. what transitions did you feel were forced? thanks for the comments, I appreciate it.
