figured it was family, how are they doing down there, have they had to witness the violence first hand? I would think this mess is going to get worse before it gets better...

what about your doc, I would think less americans would be heading down to save money due to the risk of having to venture to TJ.

ive only been there for one afternoon on the way back from rosarito a few spring breaks ago. Didnt see anything special

What is there to do in TJ that can't be done in the US, since its obviously not underage drinking?(Adelitas?)

Adelitas hmmmmmm! No, I also head down to the orthodontist in TJ. Like 99% of San Diegans, dentistry here in the U.S. is crazy expensive.

I love the restaurants in TJ but recently many have opened counterparts here in the US, primarily in Chula Vista ie Mariscos Negro Durazo, Los Arcos, Tacos El Gordo, Carnitas Uruapan & Aqui es Texcoco.

i think they are in pio pico ave. in downtown, but if you're in downtown go to fifth ave. and get some "tacos varios" birria, milanesa, costilla, chille relleno, bistec, juuuuuum

I agree the Tacos el Gordo are not as good as the TJ version but if you factor in how close they are located and no border wait . . .

Anybody been to Pescados Y Mariscos Hectors in the south bay?
