WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! For my first DEMF, was definitely not disappointed!!!! This was seriously an amazing weekend with amazing music, right from the second we walked into the festival.

The Best:
- OCTAVE ONE OCTAVE ONE OCTAVE ONE!!!!!!!
- Marco Carola insanity
- Finally getting to see Beyer (with no disappointments)
- Detroit cops hugging and dancing with ravers
- Derrick May (even though I serious did not want to leave since it was the last set of the festival)
- The wicked vibe at the Made in Detroit stage, along with the crazy good hard techno being played in there
- Beers in the sun
- People watching; so many characters and costumes! (i.e. Pikachu and banana costumes, robots)
- Spending the weekend with amazing people
- The vibe at the Loco Dice vs. Luciano set on Sunday night
- Cribby finding God at the window
- The Hilary crowning

The Worst:
- Disgusting washrooms with no TP
- Waiting in line for those disgusting washrooms for ever (especially near the Made in Detroit stage)
- Having a bad falling out with my stomach on Sunday night, and missing the last bit of Loco vs. Luciano, as well as the boat and Old Miami
- Trying to escape the bottom area at the Made in Detroit stage via the crowded ramp (still worth it!!!)
- Nasty, nasty margaritas
- Unpleasing Detroit food

The Sketchy:
- Messy 12 year old kid spinning and giving himself a seriously hardcore lightshow (and almost ramming himself into a pole)
- Security guard on Sunday that was checking my bag and proceeded begin to fall into me, only to be caught by another security guard. He then sat down on the table and start twitching violently.
- Getting lost trying to find the bridge on Tuesday and ending up driving through a mostly abandoned and creepy neighbourhood just north of downtown Detroit.
- There's lots more, but everything was mostly fun and random sketch, not bad sketch

I'm pretty sure I'm skipping over tonnes, but I'll stick with this for now!

Was meaning to message you to tell you I also figured it out.

Ryan Elliott was with Matthew Dear.

I had a great time all weekend.

We hit up the festival during the day Saturday. Love Carola, he played harder than I have ever heard him play. Also enjoyed Beyer.

Carl was a little to whoopy for me once we switched from Carola.

Sunday I headed to the Tigers game before we went to the festival and won $5 by betting on the Rockies.

Really enjoyed the Wahgohmy Brothers on Sunday and the tail end of Tiefschwarz. We caught Inversions on the main stage and they were really fun to watch. They each had their own little dance going.

We left the festival early to get ready for the boat. We were on the boat pretty much right at the start. Crazy Larry was opening for Loco and Luciano and did a great job. I was throughly enjoying what Loco and Luciano were throwing down. Bobby and decided that it was not worth the effort to change floors. I also new if we were missing something mind blowing than Graham or Jay would have sent us a text.

We decided to head to Old Miami a little later in the morning. We got there around 9:30 and didn't look back. Seth Troxler was working the door and the tunes were rocking outside.

Shaun Reeves was awesome - he was very focused on what he was doing. I was very impressed.

The guy after Shaun suffered through a number of technical difficulties. Something with the system was not working and the speakers were very crackly.

Jamie Jones and Damien Lazerus were on next and brought different tunes. It felt a little more housy. They switched the speakers and sound system part way through their set. The sound became much better. There tunes were good but I was ready for a change when they got off.

Ryan Elliott and Matthew Dear were next and did not disappoint. Damien eventually came back on to go back to back with Dear. We left around 4 to regroup before heading back to the festival for the end.

We managed to catch the end of Sanderson and the first half of May.

All in all it was a great weekend I would definitely recommend it to any one who is considering it.

jon jon - I could not help but think about you when I saw the major booth party on the boat.

I had an amazing time this weekend.

Audion (+booth party), Loco/Luciano, Carola and the Jeff Mills afterparty were the highlights for me. I'll be back next year

I also have a crapload of videos that I have to sift through...

Hot as a sauna?!? I was freezing balls in there!
