Find local video artists and feature their live work. We do that with many events around here, and they'll do live visuals. More interesting than just putting on a DVD or a screensaver.

I guess it's kind of a cliche by now to put sped-up videos to dance music. Oh well. What isn't a cliche anymore?
This one is pretty cool.. yeah a bit cliche but it looks nice in the club.
I got the idea when i saw dubfire out here.. and the visuals they had for him. cool stuff!

If you or a friend have a camera you could always try filming your own sequences and speeding them up in an editing program. It wouldn't look as nice as a professional job, but at least it would be original.

Any of the DVD's in the X-mix series and just mute the music.
Most of the visuals on those DVDs (if not all) are now around 15 years old, and thus look horribly dated. It would work with a retro-themed party though, as they definitely have their charm.
something like that would be awesome.. like a full HD DVD of it
Lol
asking for too much?

Have some video games playing. WipEout XL is a classic for this!
...er, okay, that might be a bit too retro at this point.

That'd be awesome, it'd be like that day-glo nightclub/nerd den in Hackers!
