Biting my nails, for me, has always been a two-fold process. The main thing was always "maintenance", and the second was a nerves thing. I bit them to keep them short because I don't like the way they feel when they start to grow out, and I also bite them when I get nervous/anxious about something or when I'm in traffic (definitely stopped doing that).
Getting manicures regularly helps keep your fingernails short, trim and nice and even therefor eliminating the constant need in your head to keep them that way. |
+1
I cut and file my fingernails (and toenails ) realllllyyyyyy short, so i can't bite them.
another buddy of mine, i can't mention his name (AJ), actually paints them. i never understood why. i thought he was gay (he's a trannie). but he told me he bites his nails really bad and painting them, gives the illusion that he can't.
i know, weird.
