Hey, there's a recording of the opening set by Clovis, if you're interested:

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...love

Fuck he never EVER disappoints...heavy, dingy, dark, filthy, complex, chunky, chuggy, ahhhh i could go on forever with adjectives describing his set...he owned the night. Defo his best Tribe set since Oct 2006. Felt like an afterhours set, late night/early morning sensations...wishing it wouldn't end, all that jazz. As usual, I just couldnt stand the people that Tribe attracts. My ears hurt afterwards also. That system is a beast but the low end really hurts after an hour or so...maybe the reverb had a role to play too..Plz no more youngins all jacked up on coke...they can't handle themselves. 21+ my ass...Butttt, there was way more + than - so thank you Tribe, you're the only people that keep bringing my #1 back, so thanks

Goes w/o saying he needs to be in a proper afterhours...((())) <3

Annnnnd of course cannot ignore Anthony & Luca's diabolic set...defo some nice tunes happening in there + decent flow...not much to complain about.

Typical review from moi...I love Steve

Afterhours is a state of mind, but significantly, it's more a state of 'I don't mind'. A determined continuation, contentment and relief that 'it ain't over yet!' An injection of music into attitude and occasion which creates an emotional wave forth that isolates globally, a ringing harmonic, a signal to a like-minded collective that 'we are only us'.

avalon eh... how was your experience there martin? L.A crowds :S

Well Avalon, the club is amazing. The sound is outstanding, it's huge, and the led lights are top notch.

Lawler was very very good, super solid (as usual), flawless. I think he was a little overly tribal... I don't dig the Viva releases since 9 months and that set was very representative of those tracks. I like the darker Lawler. But no matter what he plays, he will bring you in that zone that is very unique and that so few can do.

Big, BIG problem with Avalon is the crowd. I thought I seen the worst in Miami, but this was on a all new level. Made me wish I was back in Miami. I will never go back there again.

I noticed right away that this was a majority Asian crowd, which really is not a problem for me. But after an hour, I realized that I had no clue what I was getting into. If this is representative of clubbing in Asia, I will never never go there. Psychotic, rude, agressive, drugged out of their minds, mysogine, disrespectful, sweaty... Had to get out of the dancefloor because I was about to get in a fight every 5 seconds. It was a very, very unpleasant experience. Nothing in Montreal, or Miami, or NYC, was remotely close from what I saw there.

Music was incredible, many friendly faces, I drank a few shots and danced off to his tribaly chunky sound all night. Tons of beatiful people.

Congratulations Tribe.

Such a waste of a beautiful club... L.A has some awesome bookings and venues but it's sad to say that the crowds are almost always rude and wayyy too cracked out...
