Screw Israel, they blow everything out of proportion and increase a threat level that doesn't even exist.
Iran should be afraid of Israels terrorist action than the other way round.

lets say Iran isn't, in fact, an existential threat to Israel - are you saying they're just faking it? if so, why?\
crazy girlfriends and overly concerned mothers "blow everything out of proportion", not governments (for the sake of survival with the exception of anthropogenic global warming theory). if they do there is usually a motive. what is their motive for accusing Iran of being an existential nuclear threat?

Fear is maybe the most consistent motive there is.

How can fear be a motive? Fear is a means
And that's not to say there is no fear involved here. Of course there is. The question is is the fear real or imaginary. If it's fabricated, why?

I don't think we can simply cast aside the potential relevance of having a reformer willing to engage the West in office. I don't expect a drastic turn-around, but the possibility is more appealing that sticking with someone we know will stick his thumb in our eye whenever able.
The Soviet Union had non-effective "reformers" prior to Gorbachev, but his election paved the way to glasnost and the demobilization of the Cold War. You just never know what you're going to get with self-described moderates, so I have a hard time saying "well, he probably won't be that great anyway." Especially if it's the will of the people (and not that of the government) that he be placed in power.

They've been rigging/controlling elections in Iran since 1953. No surprises here.

Probably they're afraid of not being the able to call themselves the strongest military in the ME, if you can even call them that.
Alot of Arab countries are afraid of Iran becoming a regional superpower, mostly due to Shiitism. Israel could not want Iran to be a regional superpower for other reasons (Maybe cause they want to be called a regional superpower), i don't know. But alot of Arab countries are now cosying up with Israel because of that single so-called threat.

This is destabilization is exactly what the US and Israel have been dreaming about for a long time. Lets see which puppet they have in their mind to take over the country.
