Does this include the win shops in the Metro's? I usually drink wine, because its so much easier to get to a metro than the LCBO.

I dont think it should be affected by it. I love how they're open an hour later than every LCBO on sunday evenings

Retail business do not require a large number of people to be full time workers because of the way sales are distributed across a small set of busy-hours.

Heavy hours at the LCBO are 5-9 weedays and 11-6 on weeekends.

If it wasn't for the age requirements they could staff the place with after-school teenagers at $10/hour.

at least i have my duty free vodka from detroit (which is not going to last long now!), but wine is my thing and i really hate the wine at the wine rack. and the beer store smells like man. sigh.

are they going to give us some sort of days warning or just one day say "no alcohol for you!!!"?

Buy some at duty free on your way in. You're allowed since you're staying more than 24 hours. Buy a 60 (or a texas mickey! lol). Even if they make you pay duty, it'll be worth it.

im pretty sure there is no minimum stay for americans bringing alcohol/tobacco in to canada (or canadians visiting america) because they allow you to bring it as a gift.

Technically you're not allowed to bring it in unless you are staying for more than 24 hours. One of my classmates lives in Detroit and he used to bring me alcohol on occasion, and they started questioning him more frequently and told him that he was only allowed to bring a bottle duty-free if he was staying the night.

If it's smuggling, wouldn't it by definition by illegal?
