Still have mine. Its a timeless system, way ahead of its time. One thing though is I thought your system had to be manufactured before October 2001 for it to play burned CDs. Mine was made before this date so I can burn and play CDs without any modification but I thought systems made after this date required some sort of mod. Can anyone confirm?

Mine is release day purchased, but if that's the case, I know they have a boot disc that will do the trick. Should be downloadable as well.

agreed, though I never owned a GC. I have obtained a bunch of the better GC releases and play them on my Wii. I was surprised to find I had missed a bunch of gems.
