I mean if it's really worth working at it cuz the track is so good, then I understand biting the bullet, but like I said, it happens so fucking rarely that I just don't see it happening.

I understood what you were saying.

You just don't bother beat gridding them. Doesn't mean you don't include them

If i come across tracks like that i'll often just mix them in a lazy way, cut all the bass and drop the shity formatted song

Well I don't really know what that meant, but all I'm saying is that it happens so rarely that a track is not gridded properly, that I am not bothered too much when it happens.

Well main concern is MKII vs. MKV obviously.

neat good for you.

all of this technology and how it is supposed to be easier astounds me.

take the ta mix competition.

no one finishes their mixes because they have to warp/beatgrid whatever they do to new tunes. The djs say i don't have the time to do a 30 minute mix because a 30 minute mix takes hours and hours to put together.

it seems to me that a 30 minute mix should take exactly 30 minutes to do

ps, yes mk3d's

But do they still make/sell the MK3D's? Everywhere I look either has MK2 or MK5.

Also Jay, I completely disagree with you. The reason some people take so long/
don't even submit their entries in the end is because they most likely got stuck
with an obscure genre or they're just fucking retarded for entering the
competition in the first place because they obviously don't really give a shit.

I entered twice and both times submitted my mix significantly before the deadline,
and both times were genres I don't normally deal with (Acid Trance and Indie Dance/Nu Disco).

If you can get the MK3Ds do that, but I think the MK5s are almost the same thing. You want the ones with the pitch reset buttons if possible however if you can find a good deal on MK2s it really isn't a deal breaker.

if you make an hour set with completely fresh tunes, does it take you longer than an hour?
