ya there were a lot of collared-shirt dbags in the crowd, many of them trying to molest the girls in our group. i watched this one winner get kicked out 3 times after missing the point all night. i dunno how he kept getting back in, but in the end i saw him talking to cops out front... that was almost as funny as the aggro look on his face while trying to spit game. i know he's never pulled anything with that routine, which makes me wonder why he's so stuck on his game. i guess his purpose in life is to make everyone else look good. |
The common response to this is usually being polite or reacting boldy, which in return the dbags get even more aggressive.
So what do I often do? Put them in a situation they won't understand
My friends accept me anyhow so I usually spaz out with a combination of eye twitches, annoying noises and ridiculous dance moves, whatever works to ultimately weird the person out
9/10 times it works not only do they go away and stay away; you get to make your friends laugh at the same time
It's great

lance you went back saturday huh? how was that? |
We only went for "a few drinks" to pregame cheaply, but I wasn't excited or motivated enough for The End Up or anywhere else, so we ended up sticking around. It got crowded much earlier on Saturday than on Friday, but at the peak, there were probably fewer people than on Friday.
I liked the music, but it was not as much fun as Friday. Again, the opener (I think it may have been Ben or Dean) played great. Dresden went on pretty early, I think it was well before 12. I didn't realize that Dave Dresden was playing any songs with a tech sound...those tracks he played were really good. But, some of his more standard vocal based songs were just alright. We only stayed til 145.
Until last weekend, I'd taken a short break from Ruby (the Danny Tenaglia party was the last show I'd checked out), but one of the summer shows I'm looking forward to the most is Steve Aoki and Joachim Garraud this Friday. I saw Joachim at WMC this past year and he busted out the keytar at an electro party...pretty cool. After this Friday, I'm taking a sabatical from Ruby for at least the next few weeks.
