Then it shouldnt have said "Today featuring Sander for 90 minutes with an Essential Mix special"

Instead it should have said "Today with a re-broadcast of Sanders 90 minute Essential Mix"

Its funny because I still listen to my old Identity sets because they are the only good ones. Some of the tracks in his current sets are pretty good but the format of the show sucks.

Sander Van Doorn turned into a crock of a shit now it's sad. He used to be my favorite dj and now he caught the syndrome that all the top dj's seem to get as they rise above the charts. Time for some new blooded talent to show up and wash these fools away lol.

Identity sucks and is at the bottom of the chain of radio shows.

His new show is bollocks.

It's a shame, like the rest of you, I used to think he was the best out there.

ill tell you why i have a problem with the new format... besides the obvious shit thats already been mentioned over and over like the talking and not even mixing between tracks...

so far there have been 8 new episodes of the new identity show. 8 shows * 1.5 hours = 12 hours. these were over 4 months (2x shows per month). which gives us 3 hours a month (or 1.5 * 2 shows per month = 3 hours per month).

now lets subtract the guest mixes because identity was about sander, no one else. so marco v, marcus schössow, john askew, and serge devant. so lets remove 2 full hours from our 12 hour identity total which leaves us with 10.

next lets remove the live sets. now, dont get me wrong, we all love live sets, but if you're going to give us one in your identity mixes, give us one we cant get anywhere else. so the entire dusk till doorn and essential mix identity episodes need to get removed. so thats minus another 3 hours. leaves us down to 7.

next part is optional... but technically since the tracks arent really being mixes and the "transitions" if you want to call them that consist of sander talking we could actually remove the 1st hour from every new episode of identity so far. so lets remove another 6 hours from the 6 episodes where sander had a first hour and we are left with one hour.

that leaves just the two 30 minute mixes sander did in the guest portion of his show. now these are actually mixes, but what can anyone really do in 30 minutes? if i went out to a club and i got 30 minutes of a djs set, id be beyond pissed. why do you djs think its okay to give us that in a radio show? i understand time is limited, but fuck, either do it right or dont do it at all. so who knows if you actually want to count that or not. but lets actually count it because its the closest to a mix we're getting in identity. so at the end we are left with one hour.

so congrats sander, in an effort to make identity better, which used to give us one hour of uninterrupted mixes a month, now identity gives a 30 minute uninterrupted mix by you every other month.

all your fans ever wanted was identity to be longer. 2 hours. we never wanted weekly mixes like asot or gdjb. we just wanted identity to be longer so you could do more and take us in different directions. changing the format and making the show bi-monthly totally missed the point of what your fans wanted!!!

no one rips this shit anymore, no one comments on di.fm which used to have tons of comments about the old identity mixes, no one makes threads here anymore. its sad. the only sander fans left are the ones that never knew any better. only reason im still here is because i cant give up having a complete sander archive. but it pisses me off doing it. :/
