there is an upstairs lounge at Vanguard. It used to be called the 1up Lounge I think? They always play hiphop in there.... and you could get in for free. I used to use the promoter Omer S. and get in for free than just walk down stairs and go to the trance room HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa! He apparently isn't doing Vanguard anymore, he moved to Social on Sat. Probably better for his HipHopster crew

Wow, never even knew there's an upstairs at Vanguard! Then again, I mainly go to deep...(which you should on sunday for Lil Louie Vega). The crowd is waaaaaay better and deep is probably one of the best house music nights I've ever been to.

well mind you I've always always always wanted to go to Deep but I work on Monday.... and always always always need a day to recover.

If I ever relocate to LA (which Im contemplating) I know it's on my list of "to do's"
