I would have to disagree. A two track release on beatport would cost $5.00 plus the cost of a cd. For what is now $6.88 (4.25 GBP) you could have the same thing with a decent looking (and waterproof) label. Obviously the more tracks that were on a release the better deal CDJshop singles became. To each his own though.

Yeah, I agree that was an issue to a certain extent. It wasn't too bad when 25 quid got you free shipping, but when it went up to 75 it became a bad deal.

This is what I posted on Anjuna about it:
People had good experiences with it and it's a shame that it had to close but it's probably for the best. CDJShop had plenty of time to up it's standard and it never did. Such simple things to fix were never really fixed by the staff and customers with gripes always had trouble sorting their problems out.

You can't run a business like that and expect for people to constantly forgive you for the poor service. Plus their expensive habit of posting tracks individually if some weren't in stock instead of specifying that they would all be held back most likely didn't help the old budget.

Don't wanna be Negative Nancy over here but it was not a good shop. It had the potential but it never reached it and I guess people just got tired of all the excuses.

I love the idea behind the site and i bought a couple of cds from them through ebay BUT the prices was so redicolous. Who spends almost 8-9 euros buying a cdr with 2 tracks on it?

A 2 track release on Beatport costs $4.98 only if it's a release that is exclusive to Beatport, meaning that such a release wouldn't even be available on CDJShop. A typical two track release would cost $3.98 and you would be able to download it immediately instead of paying shipping and waiting a lot of time for it to arrive. Then you could burn it to a $0.25 CD-R yourself.

Yeah but what's annoying with Beatport is the 1$ fee for each track in wav... I think it is a bit ridiculous to pay for exemple 2.49 for a track and then to add 1$ to it. A total of 3.49 usd for ONE track on a burned cd is too much... someone should do a bit of competition to Beatport.

actually from what i've seen, beatport's "exclusive" only means that it is exclusive there in digital format. vinyl/cdrs are still available in other channels. really it's just an excuse to jack up prices
