see, what gets me is that these djs go to cities like this where they just have to drive a few hours to get from once place to the next. the rest of the time they sleep and walk around alone. Wish i could be like, hey, I'll show you around!

what a sick show last night! waaaay better than i expected. i knew markus would throw down.....but he THREW DOWN!!! he had so much energy and you could tell that he loved playing for such a small crowd at an intimate venue. he kept the energy level high (wasn't too trancey). he came on around 11:30 and played until at least 1:30 i think. social stepped up the sound system (sounded great!) and added some lasers to make it feel more like a club. defintely had that SF club vibe. i hope social keeps the talent coming and sticks around for a while. best club in sac by far i.m.o.

The club was intimate with very nice lighting set ups. There's a beaufiul outdoor patio area with lots of nice places to sit. I enjoyed the club.

Dyloot came on around 10:30 with a nice set.

Markus on 11:30-1:30

At the start he had a few issues with CD skips and/or drunk girls knocking on the wires up front. Other than that, solid set with lots of energy as always.

Oh, dear, "a small crowd?" While you might enjoy the party, on a business sense, you simply can't afford to have top DJs for small crowds. I am afraid Ruby Skye and the promoters have to figure out something soon, otherwise the event won't last long.

let me re-phrase. what i meant by small was referring to the venue size and in terms of intimacy. the dance floor was packed the entire time and the club was just as packed as it always is. i think the night was a success for sure.

the whole reason I would have gone would be simply because thats a much smaller venue. I love seeing big dj's in smaller venues - tends to be a whole lot more fun then in a big club.

Great to hear people saying they had a good time! (SUPER bummed, we couldn't make it last night.)

Glad to hear they added some more effects, too. Lasers coupled with the screen behind the decks should be a nice touch.

+1 on the small venue with big name DJs. Keep it Social & Ruby!!!

Awesome times last night. Markus really brought the beats, as always. Love Social and also agree best club in Sacramento by far. The club should look into getting some kind of glass barrier for the front of the DJ booth. Social is a very intimate venue with the DJ booth at crowd level, where if you are up in the front then you are literally on top of the equipment. Loving that Sactown is reppin' strong with the great bookings and a dope club.
