Gotta say, If it wasn't for the net I would never have found trance. The local scene is nothing. The thing that really pisses me off is how people knock it without really knowing what it is.

the problem with the local electronic scene perth is that people have it ingrained into their heads that anything melodious is evil...
ive heard songs like three drives - greece 2000 being labelled as cheese.. i mean cmon!!

most ppl who start off liking trance will veer off towards the "cooler" genres of breaks and drum and bass, ive seen it happen with some of my friends and even with me to a limited extent..

guys I'm turning 18 on Wednesday! I'm really looking forward to being disapointed by the shit music thats played in the clubs! Like rnb @ the pallas will be fully sick moite... :\

nah I wanted to go to MOS but I really didnt think it was worth the $50 I mean yeah its cool how there's a prog room but the event as a whole is a cop out. But! I can't wait for the MOS Clubber's Guide Tour in October!

Anyhow, I was just wondering if any of you's have rocked up to a frenetic night @ the Rosemount of wednesdays? Any good? I'm really not a fan of Hi-NRG but if its decent then I might go. My other question is; is there a decent prog night in Perth? I know of Blood Sugar and Technique but are there any others?

the thing i cant understand (already been mentioned in a few posts) is that when there is a trance event/dj here in perth.. there is always a large crowd up for it, but then people turn around and say that there is no support for trance here.. doesnt make sense to me.

the winter really sucks for trance, generally the time i get really bored and stay home alot... saving up my energy for those big summer events.. mmmm i cant wait for corsten, avb joof and others coming in october

and to top that off, i may have a few sets lined up on december! could be interesting

perth ta meetup... sure i'd be up for that..
