I wouldn't say that. Doing another remix where that main melody hook plays the most important role would be quite pointless, besides BC had their own sound (which was quite unique at that time) and I can't see why would they departure from it. If you pay close attention you'll recognize couple of bits from original (Craig's version), although highly altered. But that's your dub technique right there - taking parts of original recording and using mixing board remixing them into something completely different. But for me the most important thing is that it sounds good, not where it came from.
