Hey, show some love for the candy kids.
We can have such a narrow definition of what an acceptable EDM party is like sometimes. Yeah, I might not want to reach for the lasers while getting my groove on to Tiesto mixes. But you know, there was a time when I was 16 and I did because that was the only EDM that was really accessible (although times have certainly changed) and it piqued my interest and made me dive deeper into the scene.
Besides, everyone needs some glow sticks every now and then. | I dont mind candy kids. I know a few that are cool. However, i think the majority of them don't give much of a fuck about the music and they are mainly interested in drugs. I think they somewhat are a embarrassment to electronic music really. It's sad that people who don't listen to our music tend to picture these kids in their head when someone talks about electronic music to them. No, they don't picture normal dressed people listening to music, they picture wacked out drug addicts doing light shows. It blows that every time i speak to a non edm listener about the music i love they instantly insert the words "rave, pills, glowsticks" in the conversation somehow. Blah, my verdict is candy rave kids = fail.
