Seems to be the fact that he DJs very well, consistently produces quality tracks that aren't the same old crap, and seems very down to earth.

Hence why I'd happily put him in as my #1 DJ

i mean i don't even follow trance but i can say ferry corsten has done more for that genre than anyone. period. /end /thread... and any other nerdy forum speak thread ending acronyms.

i've yet to come across anyone with a hatred for ferry, in the sense that people hate tiesto/armin/van dyk/guetta etc.

is ferry corsten the dance music messiah?

I don't like anything he has done, under his own name. I'm a big fan of stuff he's done under other names and in groups, like Gouryella.

Very strange.

It's really hard to be creative, do what made you popular, and stay fresh at the same time. Too many people get lazy, I think.

holy shit this is the first thread ive seen in the MD that brought up a big trance name and didnt turn into a trance-bashing unicorn based thread-jack. either ferry corsten is the trance messiah, or it's just an unusually good day on TA.

Only thing Ferry has done in all his career is 'Galaxia' which again I suppose is a rip from past.. all his other tracks like Fire are just boring and uniinovative.. people dont bash him because he is simply too small and irrelevant.. like bashing someone tiny like him is a waste of evrryone's time.

Out of all the trance djs/producers I would say he remains the most consistent.

Ferry was always my favorite when I listened to Trance.

And if 'Galaxia' was the only good thing Ferry Corsten did according to you, why do you have the cover of LEF on your sig?

for collaborations, i actually like vimana the most... i'm pretty sure i'll be alone on this but dreamtime & we came have always been enjoyable over the years. i guess it's because it was the stuff i listened to when i first got into dance music... so it just stuck with me, like tranceport & stuff by solarstone.

anyhoo, i remember when twice in a blue moon was just released... kids were playing radio crash on their phones at my college campus, hah. surprised the shit out of me! one time i got into a conversation with one about DJing (he was one) & he ended up saying, "oh no, i'm not as perfect as tiesto."

i walked away.
