I knew this would happen. Ever since I've seen his international fights in Asia, he was a master in my eyes. The only person in the world challenging Silva is Tony Jaa. Their both masters of Muay Thai.
Now, seriously, no fence but the majority of UFC fighters are bunch trash talking moron's. Silva would easily beat any of these morons in whatever weight category you through him at. Size & mass means nothing if you don't know how to use your brain. Plain & simple. Give him Brock Lesnar and he'll knock him out in the first round.
He makes a laughing stock of out these UFC morons.
Anyone in favour challenging the legend Bruce Lee? Yeah right.

Agreed, I think GSP would be outmatched against Silva, similar to the way BJ Penn is outmatched by GSP.

I think Henderson still has the best shot at beating Silva at 185. Rd 1 of their first fight was textbook on how to beat him...clinch, takedown, and great wrestling. good luck doing that for 5 rounds though, lol. Maybe Filho too, if he returns to his Pride form.

Lyoto Machida would be a good fight for Silva, anyone in his own weight class is probably not likely to beat him for a few years. He needs to get older and slow down a bit before people will be able to take him at 185.

how about BJ Penn too. even his haters have to admit he's head and shoulders above the entire division. there's really no one in the UFC who can match his skill set at 155. Diego is next in line for a reality check!

First full match of BJ's that I've seen at 155, and it shows why he's so dominate at that weight class. I've been watching Florian for a while now, and he's looked pretty dominate, until this fight against BJ Penn. I was impressed.

I hate Silva's fights... Always boring...

I was told last night that he actually knocked Forrest out which I found VERY hard to believe...

But watching the fight today and reading the comments here, it looks like he just dislocated the jaw which I suppose made Forrest quit???

When I saw that punch, I knew he didn't knock him out.... It hardly looked like a jab...

that's such a ridiculous comment, I'd almost swear you were saying it tongue-in-cheek, haha.

the last thing I would call Silva's fights is "boring".

prior to those two not-so-exciting fights against Leites and Cote, Anderson finished 10 of his previous 11 opponents within the first two rounds, with the lone exception ending in an early DQ due to an illegal kick. we're talking quality opponents too...not a bunch of cans.

yeah...always boring, that damn Silva! lol

No not kidding at all...

That Leites match was the worst but as I remember, most of his fights are spent circling around and around...

Granted he always wins with a sudden strike of excitement but it's not enough for me...

well, it's either a KO or Forrest simply quit from the beatdown, as his management is claiming no injury. we'll find out soon enough since the athletic commissions issue medical suspensions that depend on the severity of injuries sustained.

Following a devastating knockout loss to UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 101 on Saturday night, former 205-pound champion Forrest Griffin wasted no time getting up from the mat and quickly exiting the Octagon.

At the post fight press conference, UFC President Dana White said he hadn't seen or heard from Griffin after the fight and he could be "back in Georgia" at that point.

“He’s an emotional guy,” commented White. “He came into this fight confident that he was going to beat Anderson Silva.”

Reports surfaced on Sunday that Griffin had suffered a jaw injury and that was the reason for his hasty exit, but MMAWeekly.com was able to confirm with representatives from Zinkin Entertainment, Griffin's management group, that he is physically fine following the Saturday night fight.

Griffin suffered no broken jaw and he is physically okay, said the Zinkin representative, but emotionally he is definitely not dealing well with the loss.

Griffin, who is ranked as a top five light heavyweight, faced Silva Saturday night in the co-main event, and struggled with the Brazilian's speed and unbelievable accuracy during the bout.

After two knockdowns early in the round, Griffin was caught with a quick straight right hand that put him down on the canvas for the final time as he waived to the referee to stop the fight.

other reports state that Anderson's manager told Dana that they would be willing to give up the MW belt in order to fight solely at LHW. sick. I see Anderson as the favourite in any fight other than Machida, which each fighter claims will never happen.

Griffin is a fuckin joke. It didnt seem like he was trying to fight Silva at all. He should just quit.

I would like to see this. Who else at middleweight can the throw at him. The two "boring" fights, were mainly caused by Anderson being bored with his competition imo. The UFC really has to pursue some talent in all divisions, as it seems all 5 champs are on top of their game, and practically unbeatable.

Definitely regained the respect I lost for silva after that fight. Watching guys like Silva and Machida fight is so intriguing.
But Anderson is still cocky as hell.

(Machida & GSP ftw!)
