I have to admit, my comments are tongue-in-cheek. I prefer the actual event versus TV every time - particularly the bleachers at Wrigley.

This kind of documentary is one of the few things I can honestly say we British do better than anyone.
You lot have a leg up in more than a couple areas, this is definitely one of them.
I think I saw that there's a new series by the same people (which ones, I don't know). It wasn't Blue Planet, something brand new I think.
Did anyone else catch that there are actually two different versions of Planet Earth? One narrated by Sigourney Weaver, and the other by David Attenborough.
I heard there's this really cool show called "Entourage" on HBO if you guys aren't watching it already you're totally missing out.

Although fantastically shot, Planet Earth is not an accurate portrayal of the life of Markhors in the Karakorum mountains of Pakistan. It is very biased towards the violent moments in their lives and as such cannot be considered a documentary. I would call it Gonzo approach to documentary, a documentary from a point of view of a blood hungry freak that is David Attenborough.
