there are about 3 threads on this with very in depth stuff so read those if you want to know about the mechanics of weight lifting. One thing to do is always finish your set. if you have to wait 30 seconds, then do 1 more, then wait a minute then do another. If you cant finish 3x9, one trick is increase in weight for a week. then drop down and do like 4x9. The only way to increase weight, is to increase weight. Its always gonna be hard, and u just gotta keep addin the plates

Cool

i used 2 work out for about 6 months ago last year as a fitness plan to try and beable to keep playing football, the general rule is, when you feel the pain start at all, only do that amount you have done already once more. so pain at 4 reps - do 8 altogether. i havent worked out in a while and am seriously losing shape, which reminds me, i gotta fix me bike

You have to do all body parts, if you want to develop the proper shape. Don't neglect all your other body parts. Devote one day to each part, or group 2 together. For me, I do legs alone, chest alone, biceps & triceps, and shoulder & back. I also do cardio after each workout. I see alot of people at my gym that concentrate on their upper body, and when they wear shorts their legs look like sticks. A stronger lower body can equal a stronger upper body. It sounds like you need to read up on some excercises, and see what works for you. Before you see real results, you have to become dedicated.

Good luck.
