No WLM/Windows Messenger solutions, as that would require setting up an IM session with every user. Not possible for this situation.

We use WebEx all the time for meetings, but never for helpdesk solutions. Which is dumb as fuck, I really wish we could. I hate dealing with these computer illiterate fuckwits on the phone.

I was, but that isn't a proper comparable solution. WebEx and GoToMeeting are all about broadcasting meetings or presentations via the web. This is STRICTLY a remote support app. I take full control of their machine to try to figure out wtf is going wrong.
You can try it for free. www.teamviewer.com. It is totally free as long as you don't use it often. Something of which we do. It then starts ending our sessions after 5 minutes.
Also, the reason my coworker and I love it, is because it just works, is easy as hell for the end user, and also gets through firewalls very easily. And then the not needing to install anything is the other big perk.

ugh you guys all that suggest vnc and logmein really should just go to the teamviewer website. This thread is pretty much fail all around since no one has used it and seems to just suggest single user, or IT specific alternatives.
