I know you're being sarcastic (as always), but I'm, in my mentality, nowhere near the publishing process. I'm just writing it.

And besides, I don't plan on publishing this first. Nobody'd take me serious unless, maybe, I had a degree from Harvard or some other university with as much as a, er, "reputation."

I don't want to be the one to say this, but your style of writing expects too much investment from the audience. Especially with no prior achievements or proof of value or reputation (like you said). You go far too deep too fast.

Many people would NOT give your writing a chance. Even if it's good. Just to let you know.

I'm not saying this as a superior writer or literary critic. I'm giving you feedback as a reader, nothing more, nothing less. This is what an average reader would think of your writing at first glance.

Haven't started it, yet. In fact, I just finished reading War & Peace. In fact, I don't think I'll be reading Finnegans Wake until after a second--and more thorough--reading of Ulysses.

Well, actually, the story starts out very, very plain. And is much more paragraphed during the "day sequences;" while, during the the "night sequences," there's less and less paragraphing. The language does start as simple as Ernest Hemingway and builds, and builds; at one point, during, I'd say, at the half-way mark of the story, the language reverts to "Hemingway"ish prose, so as to mark lucidity, and, again, as it progresses, returns to what you see in my original post. It's all very theoritical (sp?), according to how the art is representing the characters/setting/etc.

But, yes, you're right; as far as these chapters are concerned, I'm asking for an investment.

Just to be certain, this is all a parody, right?

In a certain sense, as far as the story goes, it's a parody on Sodom & Gamorrah
