Can someone PLEASE close this thread soon? SONY makes the best portable CD players because of the G-PROTECTION (NOT ONE SKIP WHILE VIABRATION!!!!) and THAT'S IT! All other portable CD players CAN AND WILL SKIP because G-PROTECTION is the ONLY thing that will TRULY PREVENT SKIPPING!

sony products indeed have a reputation of lasting about 18 months, but i'm still gonna buy stuff from sony. matter of fact, i've been a slave of sony for years just bought this MZ-N1 netMD player from japan earlier this year...


i bought the blue one. it's so small it even fits into my jeans' rear pocket. and to answer your question, i think that sony D-CS901 is quite neat -- if you don't mind carrying that in your hand (which is kinda clumsy) or fanny pack. it has an advantage over minidisc too: CD-Rs are dirt cheap, while minidiscs are for US$2 in north america (what a shame, and that's why i bought a dozen of blank MDs during my trip )

Best g-protection is a Brazilian wax. hahahahah

dude, I like sony for some things here and there, but damn let people bash it if they want. I've had my horror stories about sont products too and definitely do not want to get into those stories!
