my words exactly....it got to blown up ....what happened to just going to the door and paying the cover to get in the club? now pre-ordering tickets for for retarded amounts of money to go see a 'show' instead of hearing a dj just throw down some tunes

back in the day PVD never showed any emotion in the booth, he looked always like he was very focused....now he does the armin bounce and all this shit..'entertainment'..sounds like he's gett'n too big for his britches just like alot of the big dj's...i'm very jaded with the big parties now

i'm just sorry i haven't checked these parties @ love sooner....it reminded me when twilo first started with a very good vibe in there..and musically its always the dj's who are just comin up who play with more heart

once something gets to big it starts to crumble

[END OF RANT]

I really agree with what you wrote but everyone should not jump the gun and blame PVD. ATB is rude and obnoxious from when I met him before and I wouldn't believe a thing he says. Planet Love already issued a statement.

Everyone just wants to blame and put hate on PVD. Okay we get the point he is too big and has gone mainstream but hell the money is there so why not. Don't act like you guys wouldn't do the same if you were in his shoes.

Not an ATB fan and can't say I blame Paul. I've heard of DJs like Sasha has to approve who opens for him. Paul has been a diva for awhile now so wouldn't surprise me.

It is about the bigger picture of trance though, unfortunately... The same thing happened with Deadmau5 and Marcus Schossow, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a correlation with Electric Zoo having Armin and ATB, and Paul Van Dyk playing Central Park (WITHOUT Made Event) a week earlier.

It used to be only Danny Tenaglia who did stuff like this (but we expected it, so it was funny), but the amount of beef and drama (whether out in the open, or behind the scenes) is so widespread nowadays...

In regards to this story... I've never heard about PVD being rude to his fans. Distant, may be but rude, no. However, I have heard stories from friends in which ATB has been down right disrespectful to fans.

From the comments in the thread it seems that wasn't the case at EZ, he was rather warm and friendly. DJ's have moods just like everybody else, is that a big surprise? After reading this in its entirety honestly it sounds like bullshit and I don't beleive either side completely.

^^^ That star wars pic is boss!

It's a shame when a good music scene becomes saturated with people's egos and personal drama, especially since ALL of their careers (PvD, ATB, AvB, Tijs etc..) started out from what I imagine was a pure love of music and making others happy through an expression of their creativity. People end up becoming very different beasts than they were when they first start out in the industry.

I hope down the road we don't end up hearing about one of our own TA DJ's acting in the same manner towards another artist.

I agree. I loved serious PVD. This light-hearted, hands in the air stuff I can do without. 3 of the "big 4" did that already.
