I think it's really funny that everyone is pointing me to other sites...about the scene or for ticket purchase...or even TA...I agree with all your comments and sugggestions...but my point is simply this:

IF CLUBS ARE GOING TO HAVE A WEBSITE...SHOULDN'T IT BE INFORMATIVE AND UP TO DATE?

well it is THEIR site shouldn't they be allowed to put whatever they want on it?
if you owned a website shouldn't you be allowed to put whatever you want on it without someone else telling you what you should have on it?

"You are virtually the ring leader, the way I see it."
Then, I blew out the candle.

ya you're absolutely right... and it is an enigma how some clubs don't update their shit...

the Footwork site (which I update) isn't the flashiest or prettiest (Version 2.0 is on the way tho) but I do think it's key to have at least the calendar updated and the info people need/want readily accessible...

lol Jay that's kinda irrelevent
it's not WHAT they want to put on it, it's that they're way behind with it
clearly they're too lazy to update it

or clearly the guy that does the website updates has lots of sites to deal with (guv, TIL, dragonfly, ultra, spice route, etc) and i know he has been busy with the new ink site as well so maybe he has a lot on his plate?

i never said that i did not agree with what aflyonthewall said... im just saying that who is he to say what should and should not be on someone elses website?

DO you really think the average club goer knows what INK is or cares? Shouldn't GUV want to attract people to every room no matter who the promoter is?

+1...the average clubber could care less about which promoter is hosting which party in which room. They want to know which DJs will be spinning that night.

as consumers, why should we care?
if they're paid to update each one of the websites, they should be doing it then

at least we have the TA event thread, so can't complain
but for a non-TA person looking for events update I can see this being a problem

..or he could have someone else update certain sites instead of him having to worry about small updates. This is common practice in web management. If i design a site, ya, I might not care about updating it every week, that's maintenance of small content. Give one of the promoters or mgrs access to the files and show them what to do and change to update the info. only call me if there's a major change to the site that needs to be done.

I do agree that big clubs should have their site updated frequently though. Not everyone knows about TA or Tribe to check out daily events that cater to their style of music.

i guess we're just gonna have to bring more people to TA.

There is NO logical reason for someone to leave out info that might help a customer make a decision to attend an event...

oh and SHE is a customer....which btw is the only thing that keeps GUV and others in business....
