There is a requirement to play some tunes that are designed to peak the crowd in any non-warm up trance set. If you dont know that you aint got a fucking clue about DJing.

Anyway, Prosper - Purple Fish / On Wheels or Nicholas Bennison - Exocet (Album rework) definately work for me.

From personal experience when out clubbing, Three Drives - Greece 2000 takes the cake. I've never seen the crowd jump so enthusiastically as when that song drops.

Oh and Ferry Corsten - Punk is always good for that pseudo-vocal touch.

You do need peak time tracks, but a good set consists of flow, originality and timing, these are basic principles after beat matching. So in that respect he is doing it wrong.

Holy fucking shit! Its pretty simple, the question was "What trance song do you play when you're going for the biggest crowd response?" I am looking for nothing more, nothing less.

SO, what that said - What trance song do you play when you're going for the biggest crowd response?

Not really. The question was 'What trance song do you play when you're going for the biggest crowd response?'. He may well be looking for big tunes to play having built his set perfectly to a climaxe with his flow, originality and timing. I don't know why people would assume he is rubbish just because he is looking for some suggestions?

Moreover, there is no right and wrong way to DJ - there are occasions where your audience havnt got a clue so you have to throw big reaction tunes at them, unfortunately
