Kings of leon are shit now, some of their early stuff was ok. All the songs I've heard off the new album could easily be in my top 30 most hated songs of all time.

Their sound improved in their new album (as far as mastering/sound quality is concerned), but their older songs were better. The problem is they play Sex On Fire and Use Somebody on the radio 100 times a day, and it makes them sound overplayed and shitty. Their concerts sound exactly the same as their albums, and they don't improvise or interact with the crowd much. if you are calling kings of leon talented you need to have your head examined. I've seen a lot of bands, but i have never been to a show this flat and bland in my life.

it is a pretty much a foo fighters song with a different singer and words.

nothing is original, they are recycling styles of music from the 90's which is actually ok for a band to do because this happens with any style of music...the problem with kings of leon is that nothing they do has their own twist to it. Flat, uninspired arena rock that all sounds the same. 0 crowd interaction other than *insert city* is so beautiful i am so happy to be here.

they are a glorified cover band, and if i had to see one of those i would choose that one that does pink floyd (forget the name, but they do it amazingly and i think they are australian) because they sound more original doing other peoples songs than kings of lame.

i should not even care, but i think just the fact that seeing them made me somewhat angry could be a testament to how generic and useless that i think this band is. I hate modern rap, but i enjoyed little wayne more than this, and he sucked pretty bad.

i agree that kins of leon is weak at some points, but their guitar signature sound is rather fresh, in these times, considering it's mainstream music.

regarding their live shows, i saw them last summer in ny and also thought they sucked, but then again, pvd never interacted with the crowd and look at him, his shows are almost always packed!

i would say nickleback and kol are at about the same place on my shit - o - meter.

you are comparing a dj to a vocalist your post fails right there.

second fail...without the grunge movement stp would be nowhere. The grunge movement became huge because of nirvana...guess who was in that band.

The only thing fresh about KOL's guitar work, were the beaver tails that they sold at the concession stands. Dave Grohl is more talented than anyone you will mention in your rebuttal.
