Well, at least you get part of what I'm saying. Doesn't seem like anyone is understanding what I'm saying. I am talking about upcoming shows, not the whole year. We have had a great year up until a month or so ago. Yeah, a couple people have passed through, but I'm talking about the upcoming schedule. Charlotte is not doing better as a whole, I'm just comparing their upcoming schedule to ours. No offense to anyone, but I'm kind of excluding these basement dj shows that happen every week or so.

i know what he's talking about...i mean...who the fuck is desyn masello? joris voorn? sebastian leger?

it's cool that a lot of people appreciate their music and go to see them.

but i don't like their music and have no intention of seeing them. throw in the fact that ferry and cosmic gate were wednesday nights...and it's kind of rough for actual trance addicts. it's nice that ya'll house addicts are getting some love with artists you like thursday and friday and saturday nights.

but where's the trance love? relegated to wednesday nights once a month? harsh for us.

It's more about what sells, which right now, for Atlanta, it isn't trance.

At the moment there's plodhouse and mau5haus that's popular along with trendno and drugno. It's what packs clubs. There's also wonkstep and tardstep that's making noise around. But from what I've heard plurtrance shows haven't been pulling great crowds unless it's Armin van Twinkles or Tijschrist.

This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

I'd go see Armin if they book him at La Rumba.

I'm confused though Zach.

We have Tiesto, Marco V and Acosta scheduled to come through. And I think we'll see another good name scheduled before the year is over.

Oh, I have yet to hear about Acosta and Marco V coming to Atlanta. Tiesto is the only one I knew of for sure. I hope we do get another good name by the year's end.

The reason you trancecrackers think that Atlanta isn't getting any big names is because you fail to see how big/internationally respected the people playing these "little basement dj shows" are, regardless of whether they pull big crowds in Atlanta compared to armin and tijschrist or not. I know he sucked, but lol @ "who is Desyn Masiello?"

This being said, there are plenty of techno/house/dubstep events here that suck just as hard as the trance shows.

Well if your whole point is "where is all the big bookings now and for the future"..as aforementioned, there are quite a few booked. And many more will follow. Not sure how long you have been clubbing, but every moment of the year is not always extremely packed. Sometimes takes a few weeks before the next list of bookings hits. Doesn't mean the scene is dying lol. And lol @ "who the hell is Desyn Masiello and Joris Voorn" EDM is more than trance.

This honestly answers it all. There is not much more to be said.

if you have such a big problem with you go you get some bank roll and then open your own events company bid against made events out of NYC or space miami or liquified or any other events company to get your MEGATRANCE DJ here on a friday night. Its not just what devin brings its the djs touring schedules and who paid more for them to come that night.

No i think you're wrong. Trance does sell. It's the only stuff liquified books during the week because that is the only stuff kids will come out for during the week. The youngins aren't usually going to be going to desyn or joris if they were book on a weekday. Those DJs are booked on friday's since it is already well known that people are going to go out on a friday regardless of whose playing.

Liquified is a buisiness and they are trying to maximize profits.
