i know they still have giant new year, but i'm guessing some city ordinance crap.

There are a few reasons. Getting and dealing with that location is one of them. Pulling that event off in a 24 hour period is a major ordeal that requires a lot of planning and people. You gotta remember, Giant has 6 weeklies and has been involved in EDC and Nocturnal for the last 3 years. So there may not have been a Village, but Giant has help boost those events to their legendary statis. Dave Dean is a work horse. But I'll admit, I was pushing him to do it before I left too. The 1st one had 3 stages with Diggers and Zabs, CL and Schulz, Oakie and Deep Dish (together). That was my favorite Giant event other than Giant Venture at the Bonaventure. He'd love to do it again, but right now its just not feasible. I'll keep pushing him though You can bet I'd be town for it. Just can't top that location.

I was there also.

It was a really good party, and i recall it was the first time it was worth paying for the "vip" because it wasn't that packed in the VIP areas.

I also remember all the live PA's over Armin's tracks, they were very impressive. Collette needs to take notes from Armin's live PA's on how to sing over tracks...
