If they're being constructive or at least flaming me for things that are true then i'd do nothing. If they are putting in a bunch of bs and attempting to tarnish my name and image i'd jump right in and shove it right back at them.
It goes with the territory. This is the digital age; people will have to defend themselves more because people are pussies and feel safe saying anything they want behind their ip and mac addresses.

I would choose A. I've developed thick skin from reading promo pool feedback, usually in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, given to me by the labels that have released my music. The first one I ever got, there were over 70 ratings, many harsh, and it really stung to read it. I quickly realized you can't please everyone and to just focus on doing what you love while trying to not get caught up in the negativity.

Your primary focus should be making good music. That's all. No one gives a shit how you do it. And the people that do are fags.

I've been here for almost 8 years now.
Got bashed a few times. I think it's funny. Period. You can't please everyone at the same time.
People could bash you as much as they can, after all, as long as you're standing right in your shoes, there's no good reason not to come here and have a talk with good people at times. Even when they bash you. Because it doesn't take them too long to realize it's just fun.
People can be mad, jealous, whatever. None of your business.
I wish many others came here, that'd open their eyes at least.
But some don't want a reality check. :-D

The thing i like about the bashing here is the people that bash you on one track give you props on the next so it just goes to show its honest and not motivated by forum politics.
Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

You can only please some of the people some of the time. I'd say ignore it otherwise you'd spend half your life on the net arguing with people you'll never meet.

B or A, depending on how i was feeling and how stupid the people were being i think..
if they're clearly complete idiots there'd be no point, if they were being stupid but kind of correct i would probably ask for something more constructive then TRY to beat them into submission just for funsies...
also magnus is quite correct, it just depends on if i can be bothered arguing or not that day
