burial reuses his unique sound in the same fashion that echospace detroit does. You either like it or you dont. Echospace sales are through the roof and they've yet to release anything weak. Same w/ Burial

Lol, I said it was a minor quibble. My best example would be Boards of Canada who across their three main albums had entirely different themes and sounds but maintained a BoC feel to them.

This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

Maybe it's just that everyone's trying to be a prick nowadays so it doesn't have the same impact anymore

Haha, probably right. I remember him, radagast/aiwendil, and beats n beeps being the top trolls back when I first joined. All three had good taste in music and knew a hell of a lot too.

Whoa, the bpm is slow here.

Sounds like he tries to push the envelope while keeping his unique vibe. Can't wait to hear more of the new stuff from him.

I really, really like this. Definitely sticking to the formula, but its one that I can't get enough of. I would rather Burial stay consistent rather than changing his sound for the sake of it and not being as good.

This came out yesterday on the Hyperdub 5 compilation...lots of other great stuff on there.

Meh, using those damn vocal samples for emphasis AGAIN...

If the rest of the album sounds like this, he will fall from grace as dubstep's wunderkind rather quickly. I also doubt that Hyperdub will get away with not clearing any samples this time. Burial has pretty much explored everything of interest with this particular sound over the last two albums, and really needs to come up with something different for his third. This tune is not it, as much as I like his more ambient-sounding work.

There can only be one BoC.

WoW has done pretty well also in the varied department.

Wasn't the track Distant Lights by Burial and not this? Maybe I'm looking at the wrong comp?

Anyways, loves this. Nice distorted/muted vocals, moody and dark...the bass is killing my headphones and I like how he still managed to keep his old sound but matured on it. Big thumbs up on this.
