I don't think I mind. I do avoid watching too many films from the same place, however, even though I've got a soft spot for Swedish and Japanese drama.

I feel your pain. I rofl'd one day watching "I know what you did last summer" because everyone sounded Brazilian in the dubbed version (obviously), so it was extremely awkward to watch them perplexed about what the capital of Brazil is, and then having the courage to say "Rio de Janeiro". It's like watching it in German, and the actor guessing that the capital of the Bundesrepublik Deutschland is Bonn. Sounds dated, to say the least

I can understand why people may choose to dub cartoons, but if you live in a country with widespread literacy, this makes no sense whatsoever.
