Hmmm..Guess what mixer I have (2 of)

Without doubt, the greatest mixer I have ever used (and I've owned most). The quality is unbelievable, the connectivity is more than nearly any mixer I've seen (independent I/O for each channel plus multiple destination outs), layout is so straightforward, full kills and it's built like a fucking tank made out of titanium.

Oh yeah, it doesn't sound like shit when redlined either and was the mixer that most of the essential mixes were done on (radio one studios and tours mixer of choice).

The vestax PMC-cx looks amazing and sounds like it's the mixer for me. Sadly i don't have 2000$ to spare

Althought the other option you gave me concerning the vestax with 4 chan, i just think it's overkill. 4 channel is too much for me until i can mastah teh 2 channel.

You might say this, but you also have the 92 listed above which is a 4(6) channel mixer.

One thing i will say is buying a 4 channel mixer is a great way of future proofing a setup. Just means if you ever decide to take it that next step, you can.

Also. If you use channels 1 and 2, play them for a few years eventually (hopefully not) one or both the channels might start bleeding. All of sudden having those extra channels/faders, is a godsend as you can just swap over to them

Just my 2c.

Well then I know who's place I am going to have a go at on this fine mixer.

Agreed 100%. Spend the extra money and invest for the future.

I switch between vinyl and my DVS, and use an ecler nuo 3.0. Love it. For the first time, I have a mixer that I look at and don't think "This is good for now but what I really want is ..." I view it as future proof (as much as it can be), and it has great build, and a hefty mid range. So that would be my vote.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Rane MP2016, the Xone V6 or the Urei 1620.

Yeah but he was asking for something along the lines of a 2-4 channel mixer comparable to the ones he had on his wish list, I think.

But since you already started, let's get to the legend.

I don't really count on playing on a 4 channel since it really is overkill. Xone is not really an option since i've tried and didn't like it as much.

If i were to go with a 19 inch mixer, Urei 1620 LE would be my choice.

Bozak and the original Urei 1620 will cause me some big problems once they break down.

The rane is sort of out of the list since my dream 19 inch mixer is a 1620 LE as stated.

Either way, these are very expensive mixers...

From what you say you play and what you listed, I really think you should look at the Xone:42 instead of the 92 - unless you think you are going to have two mics hooked up or need two filters. The 92 is really more of a permanant install type mixer.

Then again, I am probably pretty biased since I just got a 42 and am still smitten.

For some reason, i'm sort of leaning towards an Ecler Nuo 2 or a Xone 22. Maybe and just maybe a Rane 56s.
