I've heard teaching English in South Korea pays the most out of any ESL job.

it pays a crap ton, and pays even more if you're hired by parents as a private tutor. a program called talkorea (i think) pays for your plane trip, living expenses, housing, and gives you ~$1500 a month.
the thing is, parents pretty much want you white and american or english to "fully emerse" their child in western culture- therefore, someone like myself, while i have lived in the US for most of my life, probably wouldn't get hired to teach english privately in korea.

you could be right though. but I'm not paying the air fare without a backup vacation in store and frankly I plan on learning local language enough to find the bathroom and explain I'm not american before I head off to asia.
The same thing any sensible american would do.
They call it the British term "water closet". If you ask for a water closet or "WC" they know exactly what you are talking about. Most of them in our age group and younger have been taught English since they were 4 years old, and see a white person on the street and will come up and try and practice their English with you.
Rosetta stone...
You can also learn Elvish, Klingon and c++.

Yeah but as weak as dollar has become even to the yuan
1 U.S. dollar = 6.82659094 Chinese yuan
(It was almost 8 when I was there 135 US was 1k yuan)
It's closer to Canada in Korea with a ridiculous cost of living increase, he'd be living in a closet, literally. He could be making 100k+ yuan with per diem. Now that would be meager here in the US if he tried to convert it back and come back with the money, but over there, he'd be living really well.
