I dont get macs. Some people love them. They frustrate me. No control, everything is a hack when you wanna do something it seems, just like my stupid iphone.

Ive been using win 7 for a month now, its a blessing to all PC users. Its by far a superior OS to windows older versions.

No I actually paid for the premium fast and reliable OS system it has + all the other awesome usefull functions that a PC laptop doesn't have like the trackpad... A lot of other laptops are now starting to copy Macbooks, sony is a prime example.

I've used PC's all my life since windows 3.1 and I bought my Macbook Pro 4 months ago, never going back to PC. I will def have to try out Windows 7 though.

OSX really wasn't faster in terms of window navigation, and opening programs. I installed Win7 on my mac, and its much faster at finding files, and opening similar programs like FF.

I luv both. I always said I'd never use a Mac, but at my last job I had to, and so I ended up loving my G5 for almost 4yrs...but I'll always be a PC user. PC's are only difficult and hard to use if you don't know what you're doing. Mac's are pretty straight forward and easy to use, and they really do have an awesome UI and platform that they're running, but a PC allows me to get to know my computer's inner parts intimately and appreciate the fact that I know how the inside of my computer works. When something goes wrong with a MAC...it's a fkn nightmare to try and troubleshoot it, whereas if something goes wrong with my PC, I know exactly what to do...or at least where to start.

Back on topic, I can't wait to get my hands on a legit version of Win7 . If there are any students on here that would kindly like to purchase it for me? Since there's a student deal on for it... STUDENT DEAL

Shit, caught me before my stealth edit, hahah. Didn't wanna start this.

Though, I can't think of any "awesome useful functions" that a PC laptop doesn't have other than the trackpad, which I can't believe people still use. This is why notebook mice exist.

mmmm let's see... 7 Hour Battery life (Although Sony just release a 15 Hour battery life laptop)

The trackpad on the Unibody MacBook Pro can do many things that a mouse cannot.

Not to mention that PC laptops are loud as fuck

Edit: oh yeah we all love the trojans

A 9/12 cell battery from any manufacturer will do this too, or even longer. See: Dell Latitute E-Series laptops with the big battery, 19 hours. Or HP's Elitebook 6930p, with 24 hours of battery life. However, it's really OS X that makes that sort of battery life possible on a Mac, as it has excellent power management features.

While pretty cool if space is at a super premium, I can't see anything that it can do that any good mouse can't do.

Shitty PC laptops you buy at Futureshop et al are loud as fuck. Machines in the same price range as Mac products are obviously of higher quality and thus don't sound like jet engines. It all depends, though. Hell, my little netbook's fan never even comes on.

you could get to know osx "intimately" if you built one out of pc parts and learned how to install osx on it. learn to install and uninstall kexts in the CLI and you're golden.

most people that run a pc have no clue about their system anyway. they buy all these prebuilt systems that have everything pre-installed and when something goes wrong they call a toll-free number. building your own pc and installing any version of windows is a lot easier than building your own mac.
