Definitely Christopher Lawrence.

J00F plays too hard for me sometimes.

But I'd say do both, go to CL for free early, then head over to 1015 for J00F after.

Probably doesn't matter which you choose b/c it's like Groundhog Day. The next time CL's at Ruby Skye, 1015 will go ahead and book J00F anyway

Ya because 1015 booked J00F this past June 12 and March 13 on the same day CL was playing. In fact, looking at the past 3 years this is the first time theyve played on the same night in SF.

Awesome sets by both CL and J00F last night! However, all that running around and dancing to high energy sets really took its toll and I only lasted at J00F's set for an hour and a half. It would be awesome if they both play in the same venue like they did at Ruby Skye about a year or two ago...

Yeah, it would be cool to see J00F and CL on the same line up again, it's a shame they were running against each other. Unfortunately I didn't make it over to 1015 because I was beat, I'd had a major dose of trance energy and my feet hurt.

Ruby Skye was totally rammed with a line around the corner, probably the most crowded I've seen it this year. The turnout caught me by surprise, I thought it would be quiet due to SVD, Armin and Ferry all playing at Ruby Skye within ten days of each another, plus J00F over at 1015.

Kudos to Christopher Lawrence for pulling such a huge crowd. I'll always show up for him, I've known him for years, he's a top guy and one of the nicest djs out there and a damn fine Dj.

Goes to show that the San Francisco trance scene is stronger than ever.

Ruby fills up easier on Saturday nights because 1) it's SF where Fridays are just difficult for anyone, and 2) That's when all the tourists and the B&T crowd like to go there (and if they do anything Friday night, they like to stay local unless it's someone big playing in the city).

CL has always been huge here when he's played at Ruby on Saturdays. Always been described as "Armin packed" I guess ya could say?

I would describe it as "Armin packed" for CL last night. We thought we might miss the cut off on the guest list because the line was so long.

Had friends who went to SVD on Friday and said turnout was mediocre. I think you're right Dave, being a Friday had something to do with it. Could also be SVD's profile has stalled here of late.

I tend to think that Sander Van Doorn's lower turnout also had something to do with the last minute switcheroo on the guest list policy where they sent everyone who registered for the free guest list an email stating that free admission had been changed to a discounted $15 entry. I'm not quite sure what the thinking was on that - I mean, (1) it's $20 if you're not on the guest list, so that's not much of a saving; (2) it was sent after everyone had already signed up and was expecting to get in free, perhaps dissuading some people who signed up from showing up at all; and (3) they probably would have more than recouped that amount at the bar for all those free entrants anyway.
