It is possible to have a good relationship even if you dislike a majority of each other's music. :-)

Ah.. yea.. I'd hope so :P

To be honest I know I wouldn't handle it though.. It's just too big a part of my life.

EDM accounts for about 10% of the music I listen to . It is a very small part of my life. Why I post here so much ? I am on vacation and i couldn't be bothered to sign up to any other sites. I'm also hoping that Chrono will make a return.

Ah.. Then it's ok I guess :P

Well I listen to all kinds of music myself.. but, I got to admit it's edm most of the time. Also, the other genre which is really close to my heart is electronica, which is not strictly dance music either.

Here in LA EDM events are a cockfest.

I play at a mainstream club where most of our customers are girls. I can get away with EDM as long as it's cheesy catchy a la Bennasi, Guetta, Sinclair, etc. Girls like that. The new Black Eye Pease crossover stuff is working wonders with girls on the mainstream too.

They like songs that tell love stories. Remember, girls are very sentimental. They don't like their music to be too EDMish. That's why big producers make a radio friendly, more mellow, streamlined song and a club version that just goes all wild.

They like cheese. That's why Tiesto pulls a lot of girls, because he knows exactly what they like. He makes his albums for girls not guys.

Also, girls like to shake their booty with their friends. So since in the US most people aren't into EDM, girls tend to go where their friends go... Mainstream clubs.

i think it comes down to sex appeal hence why for the most part birds like RnB its fashionable and they can relate to it.

but on the flip side i often see and know a lot off birds who like trance and house, they also like a good dance in a club or venue like us guys.

That is very true. Belive it or not, promoters have a lot to do with it. At my club, most of the promoters are very good looking guys and are always clean cut. They are the kind of guys that just like to have tons of chicks with them at all times. Girls follow them.

Because EDM mostly suck and woman aint nerdy enough to look deeper for the good stuff, they want it served, so they go listen to RNB where everythings slapped in your face and they can sing along emidiately. Also woman wants to be glamourous and feel ackward next to looser-hooligans hardcore ravers without teeths because of too much freebase. Also woman wants to hang around providers which edm fans aint, most of them are broke muther******s without any social antennas at all. Some sort of house music lately has changed though, it sucks more ass than ever but it seems to work on the womans, probably for the same reasons as hip hop does. no woman really likes hip hop but they think the hiphoppers are rich and then they like it. its all about money, womans are where the money is at.
