On a vaguely related note, here's an amusing anecdote from a few weeks ago:
I was waiting for the subway when I noticed a gentleman sporting an erection of lamentable salience standing a few dozen feet down the platform reading one of the advertisement boards. After he walked away, I decided to see what the advertisement was all about and discovered that it was a poster apparently attempting to solicit support for some do-gooders. It featured a picture of a young crying girl and the following text (or something substantially similar): "Thirteen: the average age at which girls are forced into prostitution."
Although the causal connection between the inappropriate erection and the advertisement was unproven, I could not help but burst into laughter upon viewing the board. This appeared to offend a few other nearby passengers who presumably did not understand what it was about the advertisement that I found so amusing. Unfortunately, their reactions to my outburst only added to my amusement, and it took me a good 45 seconds to completely collect myself.
