Quite a bit more straight-forward than you usually are Up till now, 33 minutes, you have played some badass progressive stuff. This track is a real stomper. Lots of energy in this set so far, Mag, I love it. The second half of the set has lots of energy, and many goa-influenced melodies, but more of a psytrance feel. I personally preferred the first half of the set, but I have a feeling you preferred the second half!
One of the most unique sounds I've ever heard: 40:45. What the hell is this, it's fucking crazy.

Yeah, this was actually me going out of the usual thing. The intro track is very useful for intro track even though it doesnt have a prelude into the bass. This progressive (excluding the first track) that you mentioned are mainly from 1999-2003 era where the progressive meant very twisting bassline and long build-up. I actually prefer both parts (after all I choose the tracks ), the second part has some tracks with a goa feel but they are again from the same era 1999-2003 with strong basslines (most of them). 40:45 is the ManMadeMan track, very good track indeed!

I listened to The Prayer yesterday. What can I say, man, you are a master of Goa Trance. It took a while for this set to actually start (like 15 minutes... to be honest, I wouldn't mind a whole set of stuff like that first bit!) but when it did, you started bringing the house down with some seriously intense Goa tracks. You had at least 3 peak tracks in this set, just enough energy and enough power to come up with a seriously awesome Goa set. I enjoyed this quite a bit, dude, especially the first few Goa tracks you played, they seemed pretty old school.
I might have a few of these sets that I haven't listened to yet, I will grab them when I can and make sure I listen to them.
Nice work, buddy, all the hard work paid off! |
It was "Sacrifice" but yeah, its the same set! This set is the only one from the series that does have 2 tracks made just a few years ago (Mindsphere and Ethereal) but they fit nicely imo. And yeah, this was seriously intense, the 40 min track is peaking at 160 bpm!
Thanks for the review, appreciated! Cheers!
