Excellent opener. A bit of a surprising first transition, perhaps a little bit of a smoother mix would have been nicer.
Not just dead sure what happened in the 2nd transition. The flow kinda died then you popped up the next track. It's not a big deal, I'm sure hiphop is much rougher to mix than anything else. When I play rap/hiphop at parties it's hard to match the beat perfectly so I have respect for you nailing most of them like you do. 3rd transition was smooth. Tracks have been outstanding so far.
This track with the chicks felt a little out of place. I didn't really dig it.
Finished out the set, and I must say, there was a lot of variety and the tracks were good but on the whole the mixing was a bit up and down. I'm know it's hard to mix hip hop properly, but sometimes I felt your transitions were a bit rushed, sometimes a little late, or a bit abrupt. Not a bad set by any means, I thought the flow was great!
You keep pumping out these hip hop sets, how many more of these do you have under your belt? |
Hah, thanks for the in-depth review as always. I feel bad for not getting to your mix yet, nor for being as verbose lol.
Yeah, some of the tracks are pretty faggy/bassy. Point taken. I still grooved like a slut choking on cotton candy and pompoms. But yeah, definitely kinda queermo and out of place.
As for the mixing, I was kinda fucking a bit with stuff and let most of my mixes slide a little. Oh well, I don't think I'll ever get 100% with mixing the hippity.
As for another one, nah, not for a minute. I'm compiling shit for my first ever ableporn set (even though I said I would never do a set on with it). It's the only way I can attempt at shittitly Joris Voorning (planning for it to be house/techno/randomshit).
Oh, and dick masters masteringly on dixxxxx.
And thanks for the other responses, my nigs.
Stay classy and sassy.

I have been following Tiesto since 99. I was immediately enthralled by what I still regard the best electronic CD ever compiled, Magik VI Live in Amsterdam. This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world. |
