Fedor would probably have to go standup against Lesnar, and even then Lesnar is getting better in Boxing and can take hits.
I'm a big Fedor fan but Lesnar is just too big, fast, and strong. |
I think the hype behind Lesnar is undeserved. Keep in mind that Rogers had to cut down to 265 as well, meaning he was roughly around 290lbs with his fight with Fedor (who weighed in at 232lbs). Lesnar's fights in the UFC were against Randy who really has no business in the HW division right now and Mir who isnt all that to begin with. In the case of Randy he left the light-HW division because he was getting his ass kicked by Chuck. The only reason he did well as a HW was due to the lack of talent at the time, and he was able to use his experience to overcome younger guys who were bigger than him. But there is a limit to how much experience can carry you against raw athletic ability, and Couture's fight with Lesnar is a prime example.
The fight against Mir ended in a dominating fashion, but I really think that Mir could've done a lot better and got really careless with his striking that landed him on his back. I don't see Fedor being pinned down by Brock, he's much lighter on his feet and a faster/better striker than Mir. As long as Fedor manages to avoid those steamrolling takedowns he can pull out a win in a striking match.
Just to add, I think even Rogers could take out Brock. For a guy his size he moves well, has better hands, and I dont foresee him being out-powered by Brock, his takedown recovery was pretty impressive against Fedor.
