I can't wait!!!!

I missed out last season going up to big bear. The only chance we got to go there was 2 miles of backed up traffic on the mountain and my buddy's scion tc couldn't make it lolol.

Now I'm in Ohio there's a place about 50 min from where I'm at i went to back when i was in ski club in high school.

It's November and it's 68 degrees here. WTF

i am totally stoked, finally found some friends that snowboard in the area this year, and bought a new board. i haven't been in 2 years, but i'm sure it's like riding a bike, probably will take 1 or 2 times to get used to it again.

the only thing that sucks, the closest "decent" mountain is about 5 hours away.

I'm going snowboarding from January 2 until the 9th, in the Austrian Gerlos. It's going to be my first time, so I'm pretty stoked. I'm having a couple of lessons in December on artificial snow, let's hope that helps (probably just a bit). I borrowed all clothes from a friend of mine, the only things I bought were a bumppant and some snowboots.

Man. Fuck. Why'd you have to make this thread? I was trying really hard to not think about the winter. Now back to dreaming about the mountains during class =/

We went up there in late march on a wednesday and it was clear blue skies as far as you could see and it was deserted!

Hopefully I can finally take up this sport. Sadly, I have never had the ability to from a financial aspect.

Its all about foot size... width of board. If you are tall and heavy a wider board is great for freestyle mountain riding.
