I've got the bit bigger bm12a's myself. I wouldn't trade them for the world. Thing is though, Dynaudio's tend to sound *very* dry when compared to other speakers in the same or similar range (e.g. Mackie/Genelec). Some people are really put off by that. But you can bet it sounds great virtually anywhere else if it just sounds good on the BM's

Adams have a too fresh/open highs from my point of view. It's very prominent and I can't seem to get around it, only by turning down highs on the mixdown making it less good.

Ive got BM5a's. Went to the music shop for a keyboard stand £20 and came out with a pair of them. All I said was, can I have a listen and that was it. Love them to death!

If you knew anything about engineering, you would know that a digital crossover is neither a good nor a bad thing. Each have their benefits.

Adams cost more money to make and feature more expensive components. They also sound a lot less harsh.
They are also more expensive to buy for the dealers and there is less profit to be made.

Even if this wasn't a retarded argument, did you ever consider that lower margins (due to lower selling prices) are because they struggle to compete with monitors with significantly lower production costs? Oh... guess not... You probably didn't think about the fact that Dynaudio have far higher production capacity and can achieve greater economies of scale either.

I don't really care either way, I think they're both good. I just like calling people out when they are morons.
