I'm switching because of two reasons really. The first is because all clubs use CDJ's no a days, and also the fact that I'm moving, and the amount of space I'll have is way to small to fit turntables + mixer + laptop, even in battle style

Well, if it's so you can have a club type setup, you have to at least go for 800's. Forget the lower models because 99% of clubs use 1000's and they just won;t be of any use to get feel for.

I have an 800 mk2 and it's great and extremely close in feel to a 1000.

rent out a 1000, you'll learn the ins and outs quickly if you've never used one. if youre looking for a cdj with top notch quality and pitch resolution, get the cdj 200. much more accurate than the 800. thats if you care, i dont really; just saying.
