If you want high quality, you're gonna need a high quality turntable, a high quality needle, a high quality RIAA pre-amp, a high quality sound card, high quality cables too and most importantly high quality vinyl. And it seems like you haven't got any of these (except high quality vinyl maybe).

i agree on everything except the cables. You don't need top line cables as they are like snake oil. Your cable budget should never exceed 5% of your total setup costs imo. Mid range cables and high range cables have negligible differences in all areas except for price.

Yes, i should have been more specific on what I meant. An example of what I meant with quality cables is what I have currently. My computer is quite far away from my DJ gear and before I had a long RCA-cable, with multiple extensions coming from the mixer to my computer (about 25 meters in total). I got fed up with the bad sound quality, due to the unbalanced cable picking up noises and bought some balanced wire and Neutrik connectors and soldered proper balanced cables myself. Cheap, easy and quality.

ok, then we agree.
i just see these people spending ridiculous amounts of money on cables, when it really does not sound better enough to be worth the cost. The money would be better spent on better gear in the chain than cables.
