for what I need personally, yeah. I'm not a photowhore, I just like to take good memories with me. I've had 5 or 6 years out of this one before which wasn't that good so I don't see why I can't in the future. I don't "have" to have new technologies etc so by buying a reasonable one now, hopefully it'll do what I need for a long time

i will probably go with a sony, i have bad experience with olympus(compacts but whatever).
Canon is a bit over the price range and the difference isnt that big, and i need good lens right away since i wont be able to invest in the system much for some time..
